When I cite Wikipedia, I do it partially out of laziness and partially to hammer in the point that original references are superior to group-driven online media when it comes to uncovering truth; wherever online references are used, I strive to site .gov and .archive sources, and I prioritize multiple locations by using the Library of Congress first and Archive.gov last; for books and quotes outside of .gov sites, like privately owned newspaper articles, I guess which will last the longest in online archives.
